    How do you ensure parallelism between rails? For it to be accurate. How do you ensure perpendicularity with the gantry? How do you measure the exact distance between the left and right rails, since I do not know of a comparison instrument to measure the parallelism between the two rails. I work, assembled machines with the same structure, only they have, a tank between the rails. My problem has been aligning the rails on each side, to ensure parallelism and squareness. The rails are located at a distance of 3 meters from each other. Do you know any technical and effective alignment system. Well, I do it empirically with a tensioned steel wire.

      I don't work for this company, but I've got a thought from a machinist perspective. Mount a block of precision ground steel to the base plate. Connect a dial indicator to the gantry platform and raster it across the plate by hand. You'll see the dial move if it's out of parallel with the plate. You can do that for each axis. If you get one aligned and one of the other two are still causing the indicator to travel you know you're out of perpendicularity.
